Saal Digital Wall Decor Review - Ian Hufton

20.02.17

This is the second trial I have completed of Saal Digital products. The deal was the same as before a free product in return for an honest and impartial review. This time it was for a piece of wall decor. There were many options open to me to choose from in the form of acrylic, foam board, gallery canvas and prints. However I chose to test the Alu-Dibond.

On the website it describes the Alu-Dibond as having impressive saturation and colourfulness with high resolution and sharpness. It also states the product is produced using the newest direct UV printing with 6 colours instead of 4, including light inks, and sixfold UV cure.

I uploaded my design using the same free Saal software as before. Again there were no problems and the software offered guidelines to the quality of the print I should expect given the resolution of the image file I had uploaded. Once the order was complete I immediately received confirmation via email. I then received a further email a couple of days later to let me know my product had been dispatched. This came with detailed tracking of delivery progress.

On receiving the product I was pleased to find it incredibly well packaged. On close inspection the 3mm aluminium composite panel was very sturdy, and the print was of excellent high quality, the matt finish looked stunning. The Alu-Dibond certainly lived up to the product description on their website.

Enclosed with the panel were the standoff fixings. I had been a little apprehensive of these as I am not known for my DIY skills, however the print was very easy to secure to the wall and once hung they really add to the high end finish of the product.

Once again I can say Saal Digital offered a faultless experience from beginning to end and I would not hesitate in ordering from them again.
